Where is Assembli from?
We are a Dutch company from The Netherlands in Europe.
All of the DIYs we provide on our webshop are designed and produced in-house at our headquarters in Breda, Noord-Brabant. We also ship all your packages from this headquarters! We take pride in being able to produce fairly and eco-friendly.

Where can I find instructions to build an Assembli DIY?
You can find all available instructions on our instructions page.
Not all Assembli DIYs currently have a video instruction. Please feel free to contact us if you really can’t figure it out.
How long does it take to craft an Assembli DIY?
A small 3D puzzle like most insects and the beach crab take about 15-20 minutes to assemble.
Medium 3D puzzles like the lobster, birds, large beetles and the large honey bee take about 15-30 minutes to assemble.
Giant 3D puzzles (Lobster, Dragonfly, Stag beetle) take about 25-40 minutes to build.
The race car and vintage scooter take about 30-45 minutes to assemble.
Papercraft kits like the Panda and Deer take about 4-8 hours of crafting.
Can Assembli DIYs be built by children?
It depends on motor skills, carefulness and patience, which differs per child.
Some parts of the DIY 3D puzzles are small and fragile. With too much force they can become bent or unusable.
Generally we suggest most Assembli DIYs to be self-buildable from the age of 13.
When the child is younger we recommend parents or guardians to be standby to help with the building process.
The easiest Assembli DIYs are the mini sliceform puzzles. These can be made from the age of 9.
The hardest Assembli DIYs are the paper craft animal trophy kits. These require cutting, folding, glueing and following a little more difficult instructions. We recommend this DIY from the age of 15.
Where can I find my Free Download after ordering?
You can find your free download file in two places after ordering:
A. in your Assembli account. Click on your account icon in the top right corner of the page and then select ‘Downloads’
B. in your e-mail. You can find the links to the free download(s) in your order confirmation e-mail.

What are Assembli DIYs made from?
All of our DIYs (with exception of the wooden display stand/bird perch/set display) are made of paper and cardboard. Even the shiny metallic looking parts!
A large part of the paper we use for our do-it-yourself projects is FSC®-certified. FSC® -MIX paper certifies that this paper is made of responsibly sourced wood fiber. By buying products with this label you help take care of the world’s forests.
Why do the black cardboard pieces leave residue/smell?
Many of Assembli’s DIYs include a black cardboard body part, whether it’s for an insect or the body of a race car. This template is cut out using laser technology. The heat from the laser might leave some residue on the template you receive in your DIY packet, which can smell and give off on your hands while building. Easily wash off the residue from your hands with some soap and water. The smell will fade quickly once you have built your Assembli DIY!
How do I put the 3D puzzle in a frame?
It depends on the Assembli 3D puzzle you would like to attach to a frame. Often with 3D paper insects, you can simply add tiny drops of glue to the points that connect to the frame (most likely the insect’s legs) and attach them this way.
With our insect sets of 5 (Beetle, Butterfly and Mixed) foam adhesives are included in the DIY kit. You can use these to connect the paper insects to a frame of choice.
